Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the developer tools provided by DevToolbox (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them.
1. The service
The site provides free development utilities that anyone can use without registration. The operator may add, change, or discontinue tools without prior notice, and access may be interrupted by maintenance or technical failure.
2. Accuracy of results and liability
The tools are aids for quick checks during development. The operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any result.
- Before applying hash, encoding, or formatting output to a production system, verify character encoding, time zone, precision, and the relevant specification yourself.
- The password and UUID generators use the browser cryptographic random API, but you are responsible for how generated values are stored and used.
- Some algorithms such as MD5 and SHA-1 are not secure for cryptographic purposes. Read the notes on each tool page and use them accordingly.
- To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the tools.
3. Your responsibility for input data
Values entered into the tools are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to the server. However, shared computers, browser extensions, and network monitoring can expose data outside the browser. Entering production passwords, personal data, or valid authentication tokens is not recommended, and you are responsible for the consequences of doing so.
4. Prohibited use
- Generating excessive automated requests that interfere with operation of the service
- Reproducing the source, layout, or content of the site to offer an identical or similar service without permission
- Interfering with the display of advertising or clicking ads by fraudulent means
- Using the tools to infringe the rights of others or to violate applicable law
5. Copyright
Rights to the design, documentation, and code of the site belong to the operator. Output you generate with the tools (UUIDs, passwords, dummy data, formatted text, and so on) is yours to use freely, with no attribution required.
